About the Band
Dave Abbott
Lead Vocals / Acoustic Guitar
Formally trained as a sculptor and painter, Dave attempts to handle music and song writing like any other work of art. A self-taught musician and song writer, he has been playing in bands for over 10 years, most notably Gutterpup and the Burlington power trio Augusta Brown. His influences are wide and varied, ranging from Elvis Costello to Radiohead, Talking Heads to Tom Waits. He plays an Alvarez Cutaway Dreadnought, and uses a Shure Beta 58 Vocal Microphone and a JBL Eon monitor.

Mitch Terricciano
Guitars / Vocals / Spiritual Adviser
Citing a variety of influences including Warren Haynes, Neil Young, Clapton and Trey Anastasio, Mitch has been playing in working bands since 2000. He has enjoyed working with some great musicians in various bands over that time, primarily splitting his time prior to Gutterpup with The Sandhill Band and George's Back Pocket, both of the Rutland/Killington area. Mitch plays a Fender Stratocaster with custom Ken Armstrong Texas Special Pickups (www.kentarmstrong.com) with custom wiring scheme featuring a master tone and mini toggle for 7 way switching; Dr Strings (www.drstrings.com); a Peavey Classic 30 Amp with Eminence Patriot Texas Heat speakers; various Boss and DOD effects.
Andrew Manitsky
Keyboards / Vocals / General Counsel
Andrew started taking piano lessons at age 6, and began songwriting and performing at age 12. While at Oberlin College, he studied music theory and technology with contemporary classical composer Conrad Cummings. Andrew has played in several bands over the years, in a variety of musical styles, including pop-rock, r&b, and jazz. His influences include The Beatles, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, and a substantial number of Top 40 artists too embarrassing to name. Andrew gigs with a Korg X50.
Uday Smith
Drums / Fishing / Former Curry Chef
Uday has been a member of various bands over the years. He credits the musical group DeBarge as his main influence, but he also enjoys Michael Bolton, Oily Dudes, and studying Medieval Contraception. Not one to shy away from stereotypes, Uday makes a killer curry and handles his alcohol poorly.
Sean Keller
Bass / Space Bass / Space Face
Playing bass and eating sushi are Seans two favorite things. He is known for his quietly passive agressive bass style and his love of polka music. His musical influences include Derek Smalls, Yoko Ono, and David Hasslehoff. Hailing from Castleton VT, Sean logs many many miles in efforts to get paid to drink beer and play bass. "Talk about mud flaps, my girl's got 'em" is Sean's personal motto.
